Purchase protection on a Visa Debt Card ?

I understood that you only got purchase protection on a Credit Card, but the Visa Web site seems to imply that you also get protection against Fraud, undelivered goods etc on a Visa Debit card ?.

Credit cards gives you statutory protection under section 75 of the Consumer Protection Act.
Debit cards - depends on the goodwill of the bank/issuer. - There is no S75 protection. However you are not liable for fraudelent transactions anyway unless the bank can prove you have been negligent.

Visa offers VISA chargebacks on their debit cards.

However, unlike using a credit card this is not consumer law but VISAs own rules..
