  • I'm gutted without my web connection! Still, it will probably do me no good to be off the web for a few days (as I seriously think I'm becoming an addict!).
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

you think you had it bad
i've just been told i have to spend another £100 on my car for a new cam belt barely two weeks after i'd shelled out £200 getting it through its MOT

then for the cherry on the cake the sunday morning after getting the good news, i arrive at work to discovered there had been a break in and my 6 month old macbook pro (i'd invested in for my FYP) had been stolen along with my mates laptop - nothing else, but our two laptops had gone  :( they even left my mates ipod (how nice of them)

its not so much the pc that gone as works insured so i'll get it replaced eventually - thing is, all the practical ie sound/film stuff for my FYP was on that machine (as it had pro-tools) and i have just over 8 weeks til hand in date and i've got to start from scratch as i wont get an extension as its my job to ensured its all backed up :(
i have the written backdated about a week as i'm always emailing it to myself from work/home but if i get my laptop replaced 'soon' i'v got to start again and at a guess i'll have a month to hand in a practical FYP that should have taken 6 months :(

its bad enough that i skinned myself to get the laptop in the first place (as my sig shows it probably wasnt a good idea to fork out a grand on a laptop but its an investment in my future...or was) so as i would be able to produce a good quality, industry stand FYP - i still wanna cry about it now
  • Big hugs to all of you:o
