Printing digital photos

After a year of happily snapping away on my digital camera I now really really need to print some of them off! Has anyone got a recommendation for a good but cheap printing service? Someone at work has suggested Snapfish to me but it doesn't seem particularly cheap to me.
Thanks Rebecca

I always burn my photos on a CD and take them to Boots for printing. For 6x4" prints on their 24 hour service, if you have 150 or more they cost 6p each. Fantastic value! I think Jessops' price is similar.0

I use https://www.bonusprint.co.uk and use their software that you download to the PC and then upload using the software to their system. I've tried other online services but never been that impressed, I know I'm going to get good prints from Bonus Print. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Photobox are my recommendation but they're not any cheaper than Snapfish. Great service and photos usually arrive the next day.
A friend of ours has used Aldi.
They're 5p for 6x4, 10p for 7x5 and postage is £1.33. Photos took 3 days and she was happy with the quality.
I haven't used them myself yet to compare them against the quality of the Photobox prints.Dave. :wave:0 -

There are often comparative reviews on the price vs the quality of the main printers in magazines like PC Pro and MacUser.
I personally always use Jessops and never had a problem, burn onto CD and take into the shop so I have more control over the process. It's much cheaper to save a batch up and print 50 or 100 or more to get the lowest price per print, it's never worth printing 10 or 20 unless you really need them, as it's a higher cost per photo.0 -
I used BONUSPINT but recently stopped using them as one of my transactions on line via their payment system WORLDpay did not go through
and I thought nothing of it until I noticed on my bank statement that BONUS print had deducted GBP18.00. When I complained BONUS print simply said
refer to the terms and conditions and when I threatened to take my business elsewhere, they e-mailed me saying, we don't take threats, it won't work with us. So much for customer service I thought. I won't be using Bonus pricks again.0 -

I've never had a single problem with them.
I take it you contacted your bank and requested a chargeback. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... Just head down to Boots with your memory card (no need to burn the photos to a CD), and print away!0

If you read Martins Newsletter for last week, you will see he has a link to companies that print off the first order free. I just had 30 prints free plus 99p postage. I've also just read of another company who print 50 for 99p postage. Just do a seach on here and make notes of all the links and use em.

Tesco in-store were 7p for 6 x 4 prints - you can't print that cheaply at home!0
