Alliance & Leicester to increase foreign transaction fees from April 08

I know that savvy moneysavers will already be using zero foreign transaction fee credit cards, such as the Nationwide CC, when spending abroad (or ordering goods from abroad in foreign currency) in order to avoid said foreign transaction fees.

However for information to those who do not do this watch out .... on checking the revised terms & conditons proposed by A&L on a dormant CC account, it shows that they are to increase the fee from 2.75% to 2.99% from April 2008!!

I wonder if this fee increase will be repeated by other fee charging credit card providers?
