i have been unable to access many sites especially ones which i have to log on to. i.e. msn hotmail, ebay, greasypalm, bank and others when i wish to make a purchase.
i think this may be because i deleted and emptied recycle bin of aol companion. now, each time i start my computer, i get a window saying error occured locating aol companion xml file, please reinstall aol.
i think if i reinstall this , my problem may be solved.
any ideas on how to reinstall aol companion without having to sign on to aol, as i already have an isp and do not really need aol.
any help/advice appreciated.
thanks

can anyone help???????Nice to save.0 -
Deleting aol companion will NOT stuff your pc up or stop you from getting onto the net. Check your firewall and make sure it isnt that blocking your access. I had a similar problem when i designated firefox as my main page for searching instead of internet explorer. I couldn't load anything up on IE, ended up doing a hard drive wipe which i needed to do anyway re downloaded firefox but this time un checked the box to make it the primary. Sorry if this is too late or doesnt help0

Try deleteing your Cookies and Internet caches as well as your temorary files. That should sort it out. Sometimes cookies can prevent you from accessing websites.
Hope that helps0
