It is all a bit weird isn't it, I googled and thought there might be other forums discussing it but I didn't find anything.

ooh wow hope they win loads!! :)

hes ok, just waiting for an available appointment for the surgery- could be up to 4 months:eek:

    hopefully not that long though!
they said to take things easy but has gone back to work...he just couldn't sit about at home. his work were great though, said if he thinks he needs to rest he can go home any time and can switch to part time for a bit if he likes :)

    thanks for asking
    :A

The fact that they're not rushing the op is a good sign :j
I'm glad his work are being thoughtful to his needs, you don't often hear that, and that can only help your dad to not get stressed and that's a good thing. I wish him all the best and hope he doesn't have to wait too long.

2 of my brothers have had to have heart surgery, both exactly the same but a few years difference between the ops, my dad had a heart attack last year, he had been having pains for hours and said it was indigestion, when I saw him hanging his arm out of the bed, I asked why he was doing it and he said his arm had been hurting for ages too, I rang for an ambulance straight away and he had to go straight to surgery when he got to the hospital, apparently if we'd left it any longer he wouldn't be here now.

My brothers problems were totally unconnected to my dad though and they now have a new valve/pump thing, can't remember what it's called, you can hear the pump moving if you stand close enough, very strange, but they are both doing really well, you wouldn't know they'd had a problem, all back to work and healthy.

    Dear Toni,

There does seem to be a problem with the gallery - thanks for bringing this
    to my attention.
