i would love my own skates - hate those old orrid ones you have to borrow.

go ice skating!!!!!! i went with daughter last year for fist time in 10 years - and yes it hurts buts thats because i am so unfit.!!!! and i suffer from shin splints now. but stil fun - more rest than skating but still fun!

ps. it feels more slipperly, unbalanced than it did 10 years ago! lol - but i have more weight to balance now than i did 10 years ago!

I might still be a V V, but this thread has given me loads of laughs ( a few tears as well after reading some posts). The 'We are closed' pictures are brill. Perhaps the first post should be edited with them.

Oh well, with so many new posters about to come along, I am probably destined to remain a virgin, but I really do need to win something to justify spending so much time snapping. UNfortunately back to work later today (OMG is that the time!!) so will not be able to click during the day.

They do look cool..:cool:.although a lot of the time...I do not. :rotfl:

When I was younger, I think I was braver, less worried about hurting myself. I would charge around skating backwards etc...but now I go fairly fast but only forwards, I'm too scared to go backwards on my own!
