First time posting on this thread. Clicked away inbetween other comps, so nothing so far.

Does the click-the-green-arrow thing work?

I've just been reading backwards over the last couple of days, and I am horrified to hear about abusive PMs to winners.

I do hope that the people who have received these have reported them, not only to the abuse section, but to all of the BGs too, so that they can help.

This is bullying, pure and simple, and should not be tolerated.

I expect that from kids, as a teacher, and deal with it whenever I see it, but not from adults.

I urge anyone else who gets any PMs to report the senders.

They do not deserve to be members of this board.

Someone has obviously left because of this, which makes my blood boil, as it always does when I see bullying.

If you are one of the people who has sent these PMs, and are reading this, shame on you: for doing it in the first place, and for still being on this board.

Anyone doing that kind of thing to me will find that I can stand up for myself and that I'll come down on them like a ton of bricks. There are firm rules for this board, which help make it the happy place I enjoy being a part of, and I don't want that to change. End of rant.

Yeah, the one next to the address line in FF/IE - someone said that if you click that it speeds up the page refreshing process?

think it means the refresh arrows ?? I have tried them have spent hours clicking the most is around 2 hours solid the rest is an hour and then as many clicks as possible during the day.

Got the impression yesterday that most people have been succesful putting in letter and pressing search is that correct?


Still a VV hope this will change - just cannot seem to find the time lately to do all these comps. Have got a lot more selective lately - the problem is I want a holiday or spa day and they are hard to win - guess thats why i havent really won anything lately.

anyway keep telling myself Carry on Comping (maybe it should be the next film especially after reading some or the hilarious posts:rotfl: :rotfl: )

As for bullys, I havent personally met any on this thread- they do it all in a sneaky way probably. People who win a lot often get attacked verbally, the jealousy just breeds nastiness.You can turn off pm's but no-one should have to leave or feel guilty about winning.
Everyone Ive met on here has been lovely and helpfull.

Sorry, not being clear - it's the green arrow to the right of the url box at the top of the Firefox. I think that it might be on the left of the window in Explorer. It allows you to refresh the page without entering another letter and then having to click the search button, so speeding up the process.

I was wondering whether anyone had won by that method.

Lostfan - yes, they were PMing, so that nobody else read the message.

Forgetting, of course, that people can copy and paste into the main forum, which is what I would do if anyone dared to send me an abusive message (as well as following the reporting process, of course!).

brook_son - thanks for the reply, just wondered if it'd be faster to do the letter once, then use the green arrow, as the letter(S) stay in the search box.
