You can be any age - as long as you are a student at an organisation that is affiliated with the National Union of Students (NUS). Most colleges and universities are affiliated.
I assume you are still at school - they probably won't have the affiliation.0 -

What a great suggestion :money:
What you should do is go to your school office, and ask the secretary for an NUS card form. You have to be 16+ to be eligible. After filling all the details etc you have to present it back to your school, and they will stamp if for you. The good old days!0 -

There is an Associate card as well for those places which are not affiliated with NUS. You will still need to be in Further/Post 16 Eduction to get one though (6th Form/College).

You can get one at 16 if you are in college, it costs £20, but wait until you are in Uni, as you can claim one free with most student bank accounts or through some student unions.
Get a Connexions Card - it acts as a student discount card for under 18s in full time education. - and it's free! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Its only £7.00 for a NUS associate card. Also only one bank last year (Lloyds TSB) offered an NUS card with their student bank account.0
