Hi all,
Have just rung Brad&Bing to ask for my sort code and account number to set up a bill payment on my current account to transfer money into it, but the girl on the phone told me there isn't one, that I can only use direct debit system.
I don't quite believe her, can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

I have been told the same by email when I requested a Sort Code which is very annoying as I prefer to push funds from my nominated account via BACS instead of B & B choosing the date and taking it from their end. So it would appear they don't have one unlike virtually every other online bank.0

Once the initial payment has set up the account, the only way to pay money into and out of the Internet Saver account, is via the DD linked to your nominated bank account.0

Quite so. You log into your B&B account, click on Money Out, then choose the nominated bank account you want to transfer into (these days you can only have one, when I started with them you could have several). Money In works the same way.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

You chose the date that the DD is taken not B & B. Also by using DD rather than BACS your money is not losing interest for 2 or more days during transfer.

That maybe Nigel's experience with B&B but when I used their direct debit I could not choose my own date and it took three days to transfer - the same as BACS albeit it was last September.0 -

You have always been able to chose the date, at least with the internet saver accounts 1 and 2. DDs are instant in so far as the money leaves one account and arrives in the other the same day. You may have got the idea it took three days to transfer because the earliest date you can specify for the DD is three days ahead.

I have this morning transferred money in from my current account to Internet saver 1 and it states it will arrive on Thursday.I believe this is the case(2 days) if you apply before 12 noon ,otherwise after this time it will take 3 days.I wonder also if it depends on which bank you use?
You can also set up regular payments, weekly or monthly, which is as good as a standing order surely.0
