Problems with fitting an integrated appliance door

i have recently bought a homebase kitchen, but the door for the integrated dishwasher is pre-drilled with holes for door hinges. Problem is, these holes are exactly where i need to place the screws to attach the door to the dishwasher
I have asked homebase, and they say their appliance doors, are their standard cupboard doors, so yes they do have holes for door hinges. their only really option was to use wood filler in the holes. is that normal?
this problem must occur on all dishwashers, as i would think the mounting holes are in standard positions. Just seems a bit odd, if you cant attach their doors to any dishwasher, why not make panels without holes!
So has anyone else had this problem with homebase, or know of any solutions other than wood filler (which im assuming will need to be drilled/plugged to hold any weight?)

Most kitchen manufacturers produce an appliance door, be it full height (720mm) or drawer-line (560mm) those being un-drilled. If Homebase do not have this available the only option is a standard unit door. The top fixings for the door should not be affected, these are the fixings providing the strength for pulling the door open, the bottom fixing should be a screw either side right through the appliance door into the cupboard door. If the cupboard door is drilled both sides for hinges your only option is going to be filling with something like a fiberglass epoxy filler for strength. I am very suprised Homebase have not provided a specific appliance door. Check again with them, you know the intelligence levels of weekend staff they may have missed this.:j0

having checked the brochure, its the same product code for a dishwasher door, as it is for a cupboard door, so its definitely the only type of door they do.
They did give me a tin of woodfiller for free (not sure if its a super strength one, but you have to mix two compounds together), but if the screws are located in a standard position on dishwashers, then everyone must be going back to homebase for a tin of filler. Just seems a right faff.

what brand of dishwasher, as different ones have different fixings.0

Ello, I seem to be following PDR!
As Pdr has said usually each brand of appliance has it's own fixing kit.

IKEA dishwasher door is the same as base 1 drawer unit, so has hinge holes. They supply a blanking plug to put in the hole.0

Hinges for appliance doors are pretty universal at 35mm diameter, and there's a convenient 'plug' available which may be smoother and less lumpy than chucking filler in the hole. Costs 18p, in white:

or about 90p in Maple or Beech

If it's a solid wood door, try this neat hinge hole replacement kit from Rockler or Woodcraft in the US, may be worth waiting for it to be delivered:

there really is no standard for appliance doors. i did a new freezer, door last week, for a lady.
the old & the new fittings were very different. i had to make some wood plugs and glue them in. sand them down and drill new holes.Get some gorm.0 -
I had the same problem. I got a batch of doors with hinge holes pre-drilled - I wanted to have some as pull out drawer fronts, and of course the holes were in exactly the wrong place.
Anyway... I bought some 35mm dowel, cut off a slice big enough to fit and glued it in. That seems to have worked well for me.
