    The main thing is the quality of the power supply, although I do know that DFI recommend a minimum of a 480W ATX2.0 (24 pin main motherboard plug, dual 12V rails) for their NForce 4 boards. Note: if a board has a 24 pin connector using a 20 to 24 pin adapter is not recommended.

    Like wolfman I would be tempted to go for Socket 939. I know Scan do a Gigabyte NForce 3 S939 board quite cheap.

    For memory I normally buy mine from Crucial - good prices, high quality and guaranteed compatibility.
