in Credit cards
My sister needs 1500 to buy a car, probably by private sale and so will need cash. We have absolutely no experience of loans/credit cards so can someone give us an idea on how best to do this. She thinks she has a good credit score (catalogues etc.) and will be good at paying it back regularly, prob about £150 - £200 a month. Whats the best way to do this and how much will it cost?
thanks in advance

ummiesbump,
stooze the cash on a 9 month 0% deal from a Virgin credit card for example.
At the payback rate you show, you should be able to pay it all back within the 9 months. Remember to set the money into a savings account each month and pay Virgin only the £5 minimum payment. Then when the 9th month arrives, pay it off completely with the cash you have saved. Iron will needed not to spend it in the intervening period!
...and then the window licker said to me...0 -
I used to use Egg for this (I think they charge now), I would do a SBT (Super Balance Transfer) of £1500 into your current account with the 0% opening offer. Look on this forum for 0% Credit cards with no Balance transfer fee, and see if they do SBT's0
