They should be renewed every 3 years so unless your friend is using a duff one or she really should get a renewal!!

Strange, I thought they were all blue.

I may be wrong of course, it is just that I have not seen an Orange one for years.

oh i dont know it was definatley orange, it has alittle dial 9clock) on it aswell. Shes been registered disabled for some years now, perhaps she has an old one.

For info - Disabled Badges are now blue - orange ones are old ones and perhaps your friend should consider getting a new one.

Its an actualy offence to display a invalid permit, considering they were stopped 8 years ago and they are renewed every 3 years i would i would hazzard a guess at maybe your friend is not as entitled as she may make out to be.

I'll get my wife to speak to her then, she gets a car every three years i know that for sure, i've got no idea how it works because its the first time i've ever had one displayed in my car. I never even checked the date on the card just assumed she knew what she was doing.
If its the case that shes using an old one then i'm sure she will see us right.

As this was private land, it really is irrelevant which badge was or was not displayed, valid or not, there was a disabled passenger in the vehicle, an attempt was made to show such, by the use of an orange badge. but the fact is a disabled passenger was using the vehicle therefore it had every right to be parked in the disabled bay.

OP, tell the truth in your letter, if you want things to go smoothly.

Oh and I just had a thought, the orange thing did it have a licence no. and a photograph? You should be displaying a photograph, so if it was just an orange clock, I advise you to get the friend to give you her full blue badge and photo copy that to send to them.

It's best to leave it laid out photo facing upwards on the dash board then it can't fall off and it will be in plain view.
