applying for CC got a quick q

hello i am due to exchange contracts for a house in next 2 weeks BUT i have just found out my CC BT period ends (hence wanting to apply for another one) around this time too!! do the lender before completion do another credit check, so i should NOT apply for credit until after i have completed on my house purchase? or does it not make a difference??? and i can apply now?

The only real issue that could arise is that you'll not appear on the electoral role at your new address. This could affect some applications.

ok dave i was going to state my address is my current parental address (which is were i am on the electrol roll) therefore, as i have not officially exchanged contracts yet. Will i be ok? as i don't want to apply for a CC if the lender BEFORE they release funds do another credit check

i have a mortgage offer already, and due to exchange contracts in 2 weeks time. i am just about to apply for a CC (which will show a search performed). My question is that do mortgage company perform another credit search before they release funds for me to exchange/complete my house purchase?? is that clear :-(

If you have your mortgage offer, they've done all the checks they want and won't do another search.
