Scottish Hydro Electric - Gas + Electric Bill for 3mths £340.33?
I have just recently received quarterly bills for gas and electric.
Can someone have a look at the charges to see if im on a good tarrif as i have no idea.
My gas tariff is general saver, I used 693 units of gas. The units converted to kilowatt hours was 7836.58.
I was charged £168.49 for the units + standing charge of 11.4p for 91days which = £10.37 - 0.59p for prompt previous payment
Gas = £178.27 + vat = £186.80
Electric, i am on domestic standard tariff and i used 1476 units.
1476units at 9.05p = £133.57 + Standing charge for 91 days at 16.24p = £14.78 - £1.83 for prompt previous payment
Electric = £146.52 + vat = £153.53
Total = £340.33
Does this seem reasonable? It doesn't seem like im getting any dual fuel benefits or discounts?

Hi Mitchaa
Which area are you in for your Electricity as the rate varies? The first 2 numbers on the bottom line of your MPAN on the bill will tell you if you are not sure.
See below
Mike
What does the Electricity MPAN or Supply Number mean?
MPAN stands for Metering Point Administration Number. It provides a unique identity reference number for the meter and provides other information as follows:
How can I tell what Region my meter is in?
If you look at the grid above, you can see the first box on the second line is called "Distributor Identifier". The numbers in this box identify the Region you are in as follows:
10 Eastern Electricity
17 Scottish Hydro Electric
11 East Midlands
18 Scottish Power
12 London Electricity
19 Seeboard
13 Manweb
20 Southern Electric
14 Midlands Electric
21 Swalec
15 Northern Electric
22 SWEB
16 Norweb
23 Yorkshire ElectricityPersonally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught - Sir Winston Churchill0 -

as that is the bill for winter 1/4 if its multiplied by 3 that gives a good idea of a 12 monthly figure = £1,020 (thats about £85 per month as an average)
its difficult to compare precisly as I dont know exactly how many K/w we use but i pay
£21 gas
£19 electric
£40 per month
£480 per year - we have a 3 bed semi - 2 adults and due to shifts 1 of use is in the house most of the time0
