Hi i have brought my wedding flowers from a seller from ebay, i decided to buy foam one's, as i couldn't justify spending hundreds on flowers that die! they are so gorgeous, and for the money amazing value. In the bundle i got my man's buttonhole as i wanted the colours to match as his is a double rose one. But now need to get buttonholes for who???
1- Best man
2 - My Dad
3 - Our pageboy (our son)
Do i get one's for immediate family also? Like h2b's dad, my stepdad, my brothers? Or am i expected to buy everyone one?
I know it is up to me at the end of the day, and i dont mind buying them for everyone, but if jusy family where to you draw the line?
Many thanks

We bought for the ushers and also my mum and his mum, as well as both our dads.
If you are expecting your brothers to have a role, then yes, buy for them, otherwise, i wouldn't bother.
Would your step-dad feel left out if you didn't get him one?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
my sister had buttons holes for everyone, if you want to make everyone feel involved, this is optional, obviously if you want to keep costs down, don't do it, they are very easy to make yourself:

you could make it with your friends two days before and store them somewhere cool, you could have any flower, they are cheaper when in season and the florist tape and wires are very cheap, you should be able to buy them online or from your florist. Good luck:A :

Thanks for both of you replies, i have got my mum and h2b's mum a corsage, which was with the original bundle. So i think i will buy my stepdad one too, as they will be sat together, and h2b's dad, and just keep it as that along with the original people i have said.
Not very good at making things, so will buy them, and then just add a diamonte pin in the middle, which i have done to all the flowers i have got already, thats as far as my artistic talent goes!0 -
Which seller did you get your flowers from?
I'm in two minds about flowers, thinking about having a go at the flowers girls posies and BM/MOH bouquets myself with silk flowers from dunelm but I'm not too artistic and if they're not much difference in price I might get them from eBay...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Hi Krystaltips,
I got my flowers from a shop on ebay called - whiteribbons.
I purchased the sugar almond collection, which i got Brides bouquet, 2 x adult posy, 2 x kids wands, 2 x corsages, 1 double buttonhole, for £85.50. She made it to my requirements, and was here within a week! I was going to go with Sarahs flowers, but i wanted a mix of champagne and pink, and as soon as i saw these i just knew they were the one's!
The flowers are georgous, and i can keep them forever, and so can my bridesmaid etc. . . as a reminder of the day.
I too was in two minds, and wasnt really that bothered about having flowers, was just going to have a wrist corsage,i thought i'd feel awkward holding something, but i thought for that price even if i didnt like them i could always resell them, but i do like them so will not be selling!0 -
I'll check them out, thank youA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

My flower package comes with 6 buttonholes. SO they'll go to:
OH
Best Man
My dad
OHs dad
Page boy
OHs brother
Don't really think anyone else needs them! I've gone for fresh flowers, actually a bit sad I won't be able to keep them though. I got 1 hand-tied brides bouquet, 3 hand-tied bridesmaids bouquets, 6 buttonholes and a corssge for my mum all for £122.50. Thought that was quite reasonable for fresh!
Good luck with your plans!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -

my boss made a suggestion when I mentioned that I wouldn't have anything to keep. She had some silk cornflowers mixed in with her bouquet which she still has so am now thinking of having a mixture. This will be handy as I want thistles in my bouquet and think that real ones might be a bit prickly for my small bridesmaids.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

I'd have thistles in my bouquet but think the compulsion to poke it MIL's face might become too much to bear....
I didn't actually type that did I?:AA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
