I am trying to work out the square metre of my kitchen for tiling the walls & floors,can someone please help me convert
wall 1 is 25" high & 125" long
wall 2 is 21" high & 106" long
The floor is 90" wide(at widest point) & 242" long.
I want this info,so I can post on the "is my quote fair" forum,as I had a tiler come to quote for tiling the 2 walls & my kitchen floor & he quoted £700-800 total if had to lift my current floor tiles or £500-£600 if he could tile on top of my current floor tiles,he also said it would £100 for materials.
I am supplying the tiles & have taken off the excisting tiles on the two walls.
I am in London,but it still seemed rather high to me.
Any help would be appreciated

Wall 1 = 2 sq. metres.
Wall 2 = 1.43 sq. metres.
Floor = 14 sq. metres."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
Hopefully my mind is in gear this late on a sUnday night-
Walls = 4sqm ( inc. 10% for wastage)
Floor = 15.5 sqm ( inc 10% wastage)
Quote sounds reasonable for these areas. Kitchens certainly aren't the most straightforward areas to tile, wall or floor! If in doubt get some more quotes, you'll only get opinions based on what we are told on here. The job needs to be seen to be understood.0 -
Google will convert things for you. For instance put something like this in the search box
25 square feet in square metres
and it will give you the answer. Works for all kinds of conversions.0 -
