New car problem!

I bought a Vauxhall Corsa last July, 1st ever brand new car I have had, great drive, really pleased with it. Sometimes when I start it it doesn't go 1st time, can start 2nd time or I might have to rev it to get it going but it has never not started in the end, longest was 5th attempt. The dealer has been great, excellent customer service. It has been in several times, once for 10 days when they changed everything they could think of but is still doing it. I paid for a new car so really feel it should be A1, am I making a fuss or justified. Branch manager bought it back last time and gave me his card and said to contact him if any more problems, I'm going to call in the morning but have had enough now. What should be my next move, each time I take it down to them it's 40 miles round trip!
Too many children, too little time!!!
:p

It certainly shouldn't behave like that and is indicative of a fault somewhere, so I would keep pressing for a repair. If they are incompetent not sure if you can take it to another dealer to do the repair? Also check on Vauxhall forums and describe your problems there, they may have a better idea what's wrong than the mechanics at the dealers.
  • Talk to the dealer and tell them that you will contact Vauxhall about the car. Be nice to the dealer and tell them that you have been very happy with their service, but are concerned about the quality of the car.

When you speak to Vauxhall ask if they have a Technical Representative who can come and look at the car with the dealer and diagnose the fault once and for all. Follow this up with a letter so that you have it recorded.

If Vauxhall refuse to help and/or they and the dealer cannot fix it then you have an arguement for your money back (less a charge for mileage driven) or a vehicle exchange.
