Quotes for home contents and small business cover?

I'm having trouble shopping round for home insurance as our home is now used for my husband's business (just a small room with stock and a computer.)

Does anyone know how to find competitive quotes, please? We're basically looking for home insurance rather than business insurance as we don't hold much stock in the house and business visitors don't come here.

You might find it worthwhile contacting an insurance broker. We have a small business insurance policy covering office equipment (computers, printers, etc) as my husband works from home in our study. They were able to get us a better deal (£400 cheaper on our home insurance) and also a cheaper deal on the Office Equipment insurance policy.

We currently only pay about £15 per month for buildings and contents combined and since our business stock is only about £2K and is quickly and easily replaceable, I'd resent paying much more than we do now. I'll try contacting a couple of brokers. Thanks.
