HB back payment

Hi guys, I was wondering I put an application for HB back in December for HB and it came through in January for which they paid me for 6 weeks (2 weeks in December and the remaining 4 for Jan). They set the HB at £110 IRL until the rent review officer could verify if it was worth the going rate for the area.

I just rang them and was informed that the rent review officer has accepted my claim for the full rent, so does that mean they will back date and pay me the difference between the £110 IRL and the full HB £170 (£60/week difference).

If so I am calculating they owe me £480 (normally I would not kick a fuss about this amount but my rent is in arrears with my landlord so it would really come as a life line.

Sounds like you are due a back payment, ring them tomorrow and ask for the full amount and when the cheque run is. I recently was underpaid by pence over several weeks and had an extra £2 added to my HB cheque, but I spose every little helps lol.
