  • Hello.
The last few days iv started getting an indian woman calling and saying she is from this company Capquest.
So far i have just said i'm sorry i can not understand you and i don't know who you are so please stop calling this number.
WHO ARE CAPQUEST and who do they work for?
I v noticed the name Capital One has been mentioned, i do have a Cap One card that has just recently been maxed and has gone over by £2 (to witch they charged me £12) I have also just made a payment to them So i will be VERY angry if i find out its them all for the sake of £2!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.:)

  • I too have had 'dealings' with Capquest. I don't recall ANY debt, though I did have some debt in the past that I thought I had dealt with - but not with Littlewoods. They say they 'bought' the debt from Littlewoods. I sent them a letter, which I got from the website I will give below, requesting details of the debt, and have received a letter back saying that Littlewoods are unable to find this information, together with my £1 postal order which I sent as a fee. I assume I can now ignore this, though I will be going to the court as outlined below.

I am a new user so am told that I am not allowed to reply with links so can't send the full message - just enter 'Capquest' into Google, and look at 'Capquest - read this!' posted in 2008 - hopefully it still holds good.

Without the 'www' this is : freewebs - dot com / tangohain / index . html - have left spaces here where there aren't any, and of course the dot com needs to be put in properly.
  • hi iv been paying capquest for a year now, on the condition if I paid £50 a month, then they would credit my account with 30%(£15) each time, I have 2 accounts with them 1 is for smaller amount I owe, iv just calculated how much iv paid them, an it exceeds the amount I previously owed, an that's without adding any % they were willing to pay....do I just cancel their direct debits...an sod them!

Presumably you have this in writing from them?

I know the type of letter you mean, I had one.

I would not pay anything further and send them a written complaint, signed for. Ask for statement etc and why they haven't done what they said.

Also then ask for any overpayments back

Any funny stuff, report to OFT. Can refer to FOS after 8 weeks if they mess you about.

  • Hi Guys, dont mean to hijake a thread but new and not sure how to post a new thread, anyway I have a bit of a problem.
I was contacted by my ex wife today saying that capquest has contacted her and is demanding £1666 that she apparently owes and the debt is with RBS, she was never in debt with RBS only with Natwest, I do know that they are affiliated.
Big problem is that she lives in South Africa with my daughter and she has lived there since 2004, any one with any info would be appreciated, not sure how they got her number or address as I have never given it out, can they chase the so called debt over there.

If not paid for 6 years or acknowledged in writing is statute barred from 2004. Meaning can ask to pay but can't make you.

Maybe best to first send the prove it letter. Sorry, no link as on mobile. This will establish if its her debt.

Never talk to these people as they may lie to you. Writing only
