Sky Sports and Movies offer rip off

I had a free offer from SKY for SKY Sports and Movies for a month. I rang up to cancel before the offer finished but SKY still charged me the FULL amount ie £48. I rang up to complain (I had to ring TWICE as the first SKY operator HUNG up on meangry-smiley-030.gif) and they said they would refund the amount over THREE months. I asked to speak to a manager but apparently SKY do not have any!! I would have to write a letter, which I have done.

Why should I give SKY an INTEREST FREE LOAN when it was a FREE OFFER.confused-smiley-013.gif

Sky Customer service is shocking, I referred a friend and rang up to confirm something and was told i had rung the wrong department and kept being given the "correct" number, 5 different numbers and still not right
When i asked to speak to a manager I was put on hold for 30 minutes then the "pillock" hung up.
  • I only joined sky in August and boy I wish i hadn't now.
I too had the offer of the movie/.sports package FREE for a month..11 JANUARY TO 11 FEBRUARY. But I was never told i would be billed for it and then refunded, well supposed to be refunded. I admit I am not a financial wizard but do understand the meaning of money of which is more than i can say for sky. here is my billing ..

Normal bill is normally just ....£21 A MTH
    January 18 bill ...................£39.73
    February 18 bill...................£11.27

I called them and told them that when i cancelled the free channels on 11 feb I was told that i would receive a refund in februarys bill of £19.73, which should make this months bill only a couple quid to pay NOT over £11.
But the "genius" on the other end of the phone at sky spent 22 minutes telling me how i had been refunded this and that.
But where is the logic if my bill is normally £21.00 that i am still paying them £11.27 this month.
So this makes my "FREE MONTHS TRIAL" costing around the £10 mark.
