New to ebay and confused by paypal

Right, I just signed up to Ebay, I've been getting things off it for a while but my mum tends to bid for me...only problem is she dosen't have paypal, so it's a case of writing a cheque etc.

Anyways, so now I'm a member, and I have a paypal account.

My question is, when I try and put funds on my paypal it says it takes 7-9 days to process it, so what use would that be if I wanted to buy something of ebay and pay via paypal?

Sorry if the answer is obvious :o

  • The answer is a credit card linked to the paypal account :)

  • You need to add a credit or debit card to your account.

  • I don't know whether you mean you are transfering money onto your paypal account from your debit card. You don't need to have any money in your paypal balance, in fact I avoid it because the money takes so long to clear. As long as you have linked your debit card to your account you can just pay straight from your card and this should be done instantly. When you click to buy an item using paypal it will give you the option to pay using your paypal balance or your card, so you just choose the latter. I hope this helps!!!!!
