You cant win-well I cant!

Hello fellow and lady sufferers.
Having cancelled three credit cards,offered,made,and have been acepted payment plans with them,I am experiencing what I would like to term as mild harrassment.
In their turn,they are now telephoning me and asking me when I intend to pay them something! This has occured four times in two days-even in the evening.They are also telling me that my "credit rating and cards will be withdrawn".The faceless ones do not know,or for that matter even care,that the cards in question were cancelled by myself three months ago when money crisis raised its head.
Are these people phoning from off-shore call centres or do they not converse with the actual card supplier.Finally,all of them invite me to borrow my way out of debt from alternative sources.This I refuse to do.
With the current credit crunch,they are out there,beleive me.

    My experience is that the Collection areas are staffed by useless Muppets who can do nothing other than follow a script. Basically, all you can do is tell them you have made arrangements and would they like to check their records before calling - Then politely say Goodbye and put the phone down. If they persist, just mention 'harrassment', that can get rid of them. My favourite line with the persistant ones was 'Amazingly, I have not come into any money since you called X hours ago, but if I do, I will let you know'. That would alweays throw them!

    mbna operated cards by any chance - I had this last year with them and it was very distressing especially after I had done every we are told to do to keep them informed every step of the way.

    To the point once I was able to I transfered the whole debt to a 0 interest card not run by them
    losing them 500 pounds plus
    I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.
  • Well I must have read your mind! I did mention harrassment today to the cards complaint department who were horrified at the level of pushy-ness I encountered from these "Off shore Asian orientated call centres".
    Their head office practically concurred with you on your comments.I now have their blessing to say just those sort of things.They too have took this up and have taken a very dim view of proceedings.
    Your reply was really sent in the nick of time before I lost it-the plot that is.
