Hi
I'm new here and have a problem with DFS Dining.
We bought a dining room suite, dresser, display cabinet and table and 6 chairs back in Nov '07.
on delivery the table was damaged and we reported this straight away.
3 weeks later the chairs started to fall apart, seat pads lifting, backs coming loose and a hole in the leather. I reported this and someone came out to have a look.
I requested a new table and chairs and had this in writing, this was 6th Dec'07.
The replacement arrived yesterday.
The chairs, bar 1 were good. The table was less solid and wobbled when screwed together, it was also lower and the base was 1 foot shorter so my 6 chairs wouldn't fit.
This was rejected and another conversation ensued with the manager. We are now expecting another visit by the Area Manager on Tuesday.
This suite is no longer being made and I'm left wondering wether I'm going to get any joy from this company who dont seem willing to resolve this matter, only to argue.
Can I ask for a reduction on the price of the table and chairs if I keep them, as they are damaged goods?
They do match the dresser and cabinet.
