Tart alert query

Sorry if I should have posted elsewhere...I've just had a "tart alert" for my Egg 0% deal. The text of the email says "You've only six weeks before your special offer rate ends.....The process of applying for a new card usually takes around eight weeks." Should the tart alert not be sent at 8 weeks then? 
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune! :doh:
