Has lots of good advice about appliances and stuff..
I'd read some of the articles on that site and the recommendation is basically not to buy cheap. I had sort of decided that I would go for a lesser spec cooker hood but after re-reading the articles there, I've gone off that idea again. I know a hood is an important part of a well functioning kitchen but it kinda sticks in my throat to pay around £800 for something that seems vastly overpriced.
I only ever had a rubbish recirculating pull out thing before and never used it much as it was like an plane taking off in my kitchen, but then my ceiling did end up stained above the cooker so I think a decent hood was/is needed.
Cheaper models just dont have the same extraction rates and they are noisier though so I either pay up and shut up or pay less and dont moan when the noise annoys me or it isn't as powerful as I wanted.
What's that saying about champagne tastes and a lager lifestyle............or something.

About £3000, I love everything about this cooker.

It's a traditional double oven, with an extra top oven and I use all three. And it has the Aga look without being an Aga which have poor efficiency rating. This is AA I think.

I couldn't go for that type of thing anyway.....I wouldn't want the family's expectations of my cooking skills to rise too much.
