rebuilding credit rating

Options
Have just received my first card in years after going into debt, do i now clear the balance and repay the full amount each month or do not use it at all
Question is this should i continue to do this or not use it at all in regards to building my credit score back up again i can now afford to clear it each month
Thanks
Robert

  • If you want to show that you have a history of paying back credit, then spending a (small, affordable) amount on it and paying it all back won't do your finances any harm (no interest if paid in full) and will help your credit record, as it will show you regularly paying it back.

Be careful to make sure you do only use it for things you can pay in full, though.
