Currys Games Clearence 97p - Sunday

From Sunday 24th Febuary Currys will have a selection of games (older titles) on all formats priced at 97p. Will post more information on the actual titles later. No games will be sold at this price until sunday, any querys before will most likely make staff unaware keep them back for themselves.

they can keep them for themselves anyway, they after all, do have to ticket and sticker these themselves.

Previously Currys have always activated game clearance prices on a Sunday.
I remember the last one i knew of, i went to my local small store 15mins prior to opening, and through the window i could see the manager and 3 members of staff with all the clearance games on the counter, choosing which ones they wanted and putting them in carrier bags for paying when they opened.
I managed to get a few bargains, and i guess staff must get their perks somehow, but i thought they could have closed the shutters, instead on having my drooling, outside watching them lol.
It's worth going to the Currys website on Monday and typing in .97 in the search field, as it's normally a day later when they will show the clearance items on the website. Anything ending in 97p is a clearance item.
I will of course post back if i spot anything on Monday.

Was at my store when opening last time this happened. Walked in, picked up the only copy of the only Xbox game they had and went to the till. "Oh, must have missed that one" said the staff member on the till.

Wonder how many of them will be off down to Game/Gamestation to trade them in against something they really want.

Prices are downloaded on the tills overnight, thus the games may not be stickered with the correct price, but will scan at the lower price.
It will be trial and error, unless the staff have stickered the games.
Currys Digital is included....PcWorld activate their price reductions on the following Thursday in the past....so may be worth a look there then.

I've found the old thread when this happened on a big scale before (PcWorld and Currys), and coincidently it was 12 months ago....
