"Program has performed an illegal operation" help (please)

Hi, I really need a new computer but I haven't got the cash so this one will have to do. Every time ive been on the net about 30 mins (approx) it comes up with "This program has performed an ilegal operation and will be shut down" :eek:
The details are:
YBROWSER caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff9db61.

Don`t think you`re doing anything wrong but "illegal operation" is a common fault with the Windows 98 prog that I would guess you`re running.0

Have you thought of having it reformatted and reinstalling the operating system? We get ours done by a Birmingham company for £30 (which I know is no good for you in London!) or if you're clever you can do it yourself (I'm not clever!). They check the hardware and everything to make sure it's all working okay.0

YBROWSER in the error message is the Yahoo Browser. Try downloading and installing the latest version from http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/sbc/browser/, or use Internet Explorer instead.0
