in Credit cards
To cut to the chase i took my credit card company to court for charges. They paid up from which I settled my account and closed it (apparently).
I now shows a zero balance on my account from my last statement with an agreed limit of £0.
This was paid in full on the 23rd November.
According to the CC Company they process the update to the credit reports every 3 months. Not sure about that ?
So I paid up and cleared my accout 4 months ago.
Recorded at:
Account holder name:
Date of birth:
Company type: Financial Services Account type: Credit Card Last updated: 13th November 2007 Current balance: £416.00 Credit limit: £500.00 Opening balance: £0.00 Account start date: 15th June 2004 Regular payment amount: Not Applicable Number of repayments: Not Applicable Repayment frequency: Monthly Worst Status: 6 or more payments in arrears
This is from equifax yet the balance was paid in full before they sent the update. On my circles that say how often i paid on time there is a padlock showing the account to be locked when it isnt I closed it down.
The other from call credit
Lender name: Account holder name:
Address: Date of birth:
Accountholder status: Normal Start date: 15th June 2004 Account type: Credit card Account status: Delinquent Last updated: 31st December 2007 Opening balance: £327 Payment start date: 15th June 2004 Account start date: 15th June 2004 Repayment frequency: Monthly Lump payment: £0 Delinquent date: 31st July 2007 Delinquent balance: £406
This shows a deliquent balance 2 and a half months after i paid in full.
What the hell is delinquent?
I am in the process of writing a letter is there anything that i can quote (legal wise ) that will make them actually put in the correct data or basacially anything that i can do to get this mess sorted out ?

Contact CallCredit and Equifax directly via post, stating specifically what your problem is, who the lender are and what you want done. Experian have a facility on their Credit Expert site to correct information held about yourself on your report, which works in much the same way; it was followed up by email in less than a week and the information corrected. It really is that simple, because it's in the interests of Equifax + CC to have the correct information and they'll chase everyone concerned up on your behalf.0
