It all depends upon the actual amount you pay per Kwh to decide if you would be better off changing.
Was your bill based upon an estimate, or actual readings....same goes for both the start and end readings.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
I've decided that i'm going to change supplier, shall i just pay of in one go, or shall i wait because last bill was estimated (over possibly)?0

Always, always, always correct an estimated bill.
If you don't want to phone or they don't have a free phone number, write, but make sure you are paying/being charged only for what you have used.0 -

Kimberley, I don't know the ins and outs of the pre-payment meters, but from what I have read on this board, you are usually better off on an ordinary meter.
But, depending upon why the pre-payment one was installed, the utility company may want a deposit.
You may want to post a new thread asking how you determine your charges.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

Have you NOT compared your last bill with your actual METER???
Simply check the figures on the meter against the ones on the bill (plus if it's an ESTIMATED bill, the letter E will be shown next to their reading) and see if their figures are below yours or over???

I think what has happened that i've been paying a very low gas dd every month and it is not until now that it has come to light that i wasn't paying them enough, new payments are £15 elec, £32 gas a month , still don't know if to change supplier or not0

Check against one of the comparison sites - I used Energyhelpline which I found very straightforward. You can check without making an immediate decision if you are unsure at first.
I was with NPower  but am switching to E.on saving about £280 per annum (hopefully) and, although I had to check with E.on about their discounting, I have found them to be very organised thus far.
