Tesco direct complaint

Ordered a garden table from Tesco direct. It was supposed to be delivered today between 8am and 6pm. Happened to look at the order status and it said at warehouse dispatching soon I rang them only to be told it was out of stock and no one has bothered to inform me after getting a friend to stay in all day. Very annoyed to say the least.
