Why get a car serviced at the dealer's garage?

Given the block exemption legislation, I guess this question applies equally to cars in or out of warranty. Following on from a couple of threads about servicing, I was wondering whether there is now ANY reason for a car to be serviced at a "main dealer" rather than a reputable, independent garage? The only real benefit of servicing a car at the dealers garage is if your leasing it though a pcp deal whereby at the end of the lease it must have been serviced with the dealer if the car is to be returned.
However i recently used a great company called ontime who serviced my car and i would recommend them highly.
