Blogging & Websites- registering a few domains / hosting

Hello!
I'd welcome a little advice...
I'd like to start blogging and also combine this with building a website, or two.
I need to register a few domain names first.
- Is it possible (adviseable) to register different domain names with different companies (e.g. ".co.uk" names are cheaper with one company, while ".com" names are cheaper with another)?
I then need to find a hosting service. This could possibly be with one of the domain name registrars above.
- Can a few domain names be hosted in one hosting account (sharing the overall storage, bandwidth etc) or would I have to buy separate hosting accounts for each individual domain name?
I'm considering developing a mix of general blogs and an "About Me" website with a more personal blog. I might want to interconnect the blogs and websites, when appropriate.
- When assembling the blogs and websites, is it possible/ easy to interlink parts of them on a hosting account(s)?
Obviously, I will become more skilled and knowledgable in this area over time, but I am keen to get on with starting to blog- while planning ahead.
All comments much appreciated.
Thank you all in advance.
Scotty

Absolutely. Why pay more than you need to? Check over at www.webhostingtalk.com in the forum to see who's got offers on.- Is it possible (adviseable) to register different domain names with different companies (e.g. ".co.uk" names are cheaper with one company, while ".com" names are cheaper with another)?
You might get a deal where someone will give you a free domain with hosting, but it's usually cheaper to register the domain one place and get the hosting somewhere else.I then need to find a hosting service. This could possibly be with one of the domain name registrars above.
As long as you get a package where you can host multiple domains, this will be fine, yep.- Can a few domain names be hosted in one hosting account (sharing the overall storage, bandwidth etc) or would I have to buy separate hosting accounts for each individual domain name?
Absolutely. Dead easy.- When assembling the blogs and websites, is it possible/ easy to interlink parts of them on a hosting account(s)?They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

Yes you should use US domain sellers for .com as they get better deals than most UK providers so cost less. Namecheap or godaddy for .com (look for godaddy codes and you'll get a .com for $6.95 a year including free email account).
.uk domains are better from a uk seller like 1&1, 123.
You can buy hosting seperate from domains and should do. Hostgator is great for hosting. You can forward your domains to your webhost.
As to whether you should host domains together no you can host on 1 account. There's for's and against's doing this as if the host server goes down all your domains go down. However pick a good host and this won;t happen too often. Check the hosting plan you choose allows unlimited domains or multiple domains to be hosted on it.
Not sure what you mean by interlink? Do you mean from one domain to another domain? If so..then yes.0 -

where would I find godaddy codes?
Hi Scotty,
you can search for godaddy codes on Google or you can find a whole bunch of them if you navigate this site.
Hope that helps!
