Amazon after sales service

I bought an iPod Touch for my daughter's Christmas from Amazon. On Monday this week the home button stopped working on it. On Wednesday I phoned Apple, and they said I need to take it to my nearest registered Apple seller, to confirm it wasn;t working, before they could authorise a repair or replacement. The nearest place is about 50 miles away, so I thought i'd get back to Amazon first, even though it was over 2 months since i'd bought it. I got an apology and was told to send the old one back. Today, in the post, I have got a brand new iPod. I haven't even had the chance to send back the faulty one yet!
Far more impressed with Amazon, than I am with Apple.
