in Credit cards
I have a car on lease at present which has come to the end of its terms, and one option I have is to now buy the car outright.
I was thinking of doing the following. Currently I have a credit card with HSBC which is also my bank, and through my account, my wife also has a card.
I've also seen a deal at Sainsburys which offers twelve months 0% interest on transferred balances (3% charge) and also on any shopping at Sainsburys.
What I was thinking of doing was paying for the car on my wife's card, then transferring her card only to a Sainsburys card. The idea being that what I currently pay out per month for the car, plus an amount for shopping would be paid into an interest bearing account in her name (she pays no tax!). At the end of 12 months we would pay off what's on the Sainsburys card with what's in the savings account and hopefully make a little profit.
My questions are
1) does this sound feasible?
2) As the account holder would I have to transfer MY credit card over?
3) If I did have to transfer my credit card over, could I then simply reapply for another one at HSBC?
Thanks

you don't actual transfer your card anywhere.
you transfer the balance on the card so you keep your existing cards although with zero or low balance and have a new Sainsbury's card with a big balance.
you might want to check that the car company will accept CC payments and whether they charge for this service.0
