hi hope this makes sense
today i got an email from someone saying - had i second chance offered an item which i had sold about a week ago to them, i emailed them back saying no and if they could forward me the person who had second chance offered them as i would not like to think of someone using my name etc.
they then email me back a while later saying that they had already paid for the item through western union.
i am not sure if the person is trying to blame me? dont see how he can as i have nothing to do with it.
i did then email him back with this which is posted at the bottom of every "second chance offer"

this was also at the bottom of his reply email
I don’t know if there is any legal action we can take to get the money back~????
basically i do not wish to seem harsh but as i have absolutely nothing to do with this whatever i shall assist in anyway i can but i shall not be sending him anything.
or do you think this is someone trying it on?
basically i think he has been scammed looking at his feedback he has a 0, any opinions or advice please.

This is nothing to do with you so be polite but firmly refer him to ebay to deal with 'his' problem (not your problem).
It is difficult to believe that any buyer can be that naive and fall for such an obvious scam *and * use Western Union , he misght as well have opened a window and thrown the money out. I might be cynical, but I'm thinking this is a new way of trying to scam someone (ie you). Pretend they were offered a 2nd chance offer on your item, then make you feel guilty and persuade you to send them the item/a refund.
Tell them to report it to Ebay as it's nothing to do with you.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

It has to be a scam, either the person contacting you has been scammed or they are trying to do it to you.
It may be worth changing your password on your account as a precaution too.'What's poignancy grandad?'
