Well done Cleosmum! I, too, know someone who just gets more and more cards and uses each of them to the max
I wouldn't be able to sleep at night either.
But then she also told me she "borrowed" money from her employer too...saying it was ok so long as she "replaced it before the accounts were submitted".
 Thats awful!0 -
We have had money in the bank every month since November, after I took control again!! of the bank account. Working on getting a decent buffer built up for any unforseen problem

I was into my overdraft of £200 for about 11 months. But since reading here and doing a budget I had some money left this month. My aim is to have even more left at the end of March.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500
June £511.99/£480 July £311.56/£4800 -
I'm pretty much always in my overdraft of £200 by payday, but when I have no higher debts I'll clear it

I'm in the same boat as your colleague unfortunately, I'm constantly up to my overdraft limit before payday. My salary clears it each month and then the DD's and bills go out and I'm back to square one. I've never been good with money (which is why I'm in a mess!) and even if I have £10 left in my account, I'm thinking of things to spend it on.
Right now my overdraft isn't a priority - I've been living on it for years so a couple more won't hurt. I'll pay my CC's and loan off and then tackle the OD.

I used to have a £2000 od which was used every month to the limit.
This was the first thing I cleared after my lightbulb moment last year:T
The thing about overdrafts is you don't HAVE to pay anything off them each month, so in my case I didn't:oComping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

im ashamed to admit that we ahve been using our overdraft since june and was at the limit of £500. not alot i know but it did mean that husband got paid- bills went out- we were straight in the red.
this month we have cleared £200 of our overdraft and am really hoping that even with all the outgoings next month we can get this down by the same again ao even clear it. when we have we wont be going into it again as its been so hard to get out of. dont congratulate us on the £200 its only been done as we rented our house out to a fiend as we dont live there. i could have cleared it with the rent if he hadnt been a pain but a week before moving in after decorating he decided to ring and say he couldnt afford the £400 rent so im only getting half of that now. still will be good to clear the od though.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -

I have no o/d because I am highly in debt so have a basic bank account - I get paid monthly & my husband gets paid weekly - but although we do have credit in our account it probably is about £1.
I would like to be in a position where by I had £50 in the account. I get paid the last day of every month & by the 1st I have nothing! Hate it.
But feeling better now I joined here as I am sticking to a budget. :rotfl:
