Insurance after cancellation

Hi all,
I got myself into the unfortunate position of having my policies cancelled as I missed the monthly premiums. Now that im back on my feet I want to restart my home insurances etc but theres always a question about confirming that you have never had insurance cancelled etc. Now I assume that this question is if anyone had it cancelled for fraud purposes, but are the companies likely to tell me to go forth and multiply when I ring and explain that my policies were cancelled for non payment?
Thanks for your help

If the policy was cancelled by the insurer, then you must declare this.
It's not just for fraud, they're interested in any reason such as non-payment. You may find some insurers will not cover you now, but you should still be able to get a policy.
If you fail to disclose this, the insurer will most likely find out and the consequences could be severe.0 -
Thanks for the advice, id better get ringing around!

You could try a broker (I don't work in insurance BTW).
A broker will know which insurers are best for your situation and either they won't need to do a lot of ringing round or they'll do it for you, so it might be worth a try.0
