DO I NEED TWO SHOWER PUMPS?

We currently have a normal bathroom and some years ago we fitted a shower and a pump to make it a power shower. We are now having an extension built with a second bathroom which will have it's own shower cubilcle this shower is one with a head and body jets. There is a chance that at times both showers could be used at the same time, so will one (strong enough) pump work everything or is it best to have a seperate pump for each???

It depends on the maximum flow rates of both outlets. Read the manuals for them and add them up to see.

The problem you'll probably have is getting the hot out of the tank fast enough. There is a tank "thingie" called a surrey flange to allow a power shower an independent feed of hot (so that the taps Etc don't affect the shower, but it does lead to more pipe being needed) but I've never seen a dual one.

Hope that helps. I'm lucky, our hot water is a mains pressure tank system that doesn't need pumps or tank mods. 3 Bar at the taps does shock the off house visitor though ;)

I,ll give you a simple answer, Yes

And be aware, that the shower with body jets will use alot of hot water,so you may need to increase the size of you cylinder, with one with a high recovery rate.
A thankyou is payment enough .

Thanks for all your replies, they are very helpful and clearly this is going to be a bigger job than I first thought.
