Until Xp-2 the format command would not format to a max size i.e.160GB or greater.
Is this a true? At the present my drive is formatted to 135GB and with 4 partitions.
What software can i use to remove the partitions and then reformat to 160GB.
Thanks to all

Yes - prior to SP2 there was a limit of somewhere around 130Gb (addressing limited to 28 bits, but I've probably remembered that wrong).
GPARTED is a great disk formatting tool, and it's free.

Download the livecd, burn it as an ISO image and you're away...0 -
You'll never format it to the size quoted by the manufacturer as they use strict SI decimal units to define the size while Windows uses binary and incorrect SI units. Also there is acertain overhead for the formatting of the drive so you'll alwyas lose a bit.
