i want to get a credit card to pay of my argos card and littlewoods bill what do i need 0% transfer or 0% on purchase
Okay, straight answer is: 0% transfer card.
Smug answer is: a decent credit rating
Best answer is a bit of both. How much do you owe on each and what interest rates are they charging you? Give us details and people can help you work it out.
How's your credit rating? Have you checked your credit file for any black marks, or any unused credit cards that could affect your ability to get new cards?
Recently helped someone clear their Littlewoods bill, they were making the £40 minimum payment quite happily until they realised how long it takes to clear the balance when they're charging 33% interest and just how much they will actually pay back! They went on a strict money diet and they'll have it clear by end of this month.
If you're comfortable with it, no reason why you don't end up with both a 0% transfer and 0% purchase card and still have your finances in good shape."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
Assuming this is their store card, as opposed to the Argos Mastercard, I think you may have trouble transferring this balance to another card directly. This is because the Argos storecard does not have a standard 16-digit card number, having instead (I seem to recall?) 17, 18, or 19 digits.
i want to get a credit card to pay of my argos card...
For this reason, you will need a super balance transfer card such as MBNA (and MBNA run cards like Virgin, A&L, etc) or the Egg Card (Visa). These offer 0% for 12-15 months on cash paid into your current account, but will charge a fee of around 3%.0
