How to cancel a credit card

Hi, iv just spent 10 minutes waitin to cancel my morgan stanley card only to be cut off. Is there an easy way of doing it, ie (writing). It seems the credit cards plan is to make it difficult to cancel the card so you`ll hopefully give up, keep the account and therefore maybe use it. All the cards have 0 balance on them.

Any advice appreciated as i also want to cancel a mbna card.

(All cards were applied for when i was a financial train wreck newbie.)

Some customer service is better than others,the phone is the best option you can write thats how it used to be done.

The phone is the easiest, but ask them to send you confirmation through the post.
