Going BR tomorrow and need help!

My other half is going BR tomorrow and I need some help to make sure he's completed the forms correctly as he's of the attitude "get it over and done with". I told him to visit here for advice but as usual he thinks he knows it all but I know better
What sort of figures should we be entering for expenditure as I haven't got a clue! I think I saw somewhere that there were set limits for clothing etc. I'm affraid of not getting it right and I know how important it is. What sort of documentation should he be taking along with him tomorrow? Will I be allowed to go in with him, (I'm not going BR)
Any help at this late hour would be useful! If I have to stay up all night getting the forms right I will!!!!

Clothing allowance looks a bit low to me, ok we don't buy clothes much but still it seems a bit low.0 -
BRB with my thoughts on this. Is it just you and DH? What are your incomings at the moment?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Hi Pigsick.
Firstly, have you taken advice from one of the free debt charities? the judge will want to know if you have.
Also have you taken advice re: the house and mortgage and car?
What are the fines for? some can be included in BR.
Clothing is low, but telephone and gas/elc/oil is very high!
Hobbies won't be allowed so i'd remove them.
Thats just a first glance, will have a proper look in a minuteThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

Hi Tigerfeet,
At the moment he's on standard 30 hour min wage so brings home about £550.00 per month although think he's on emergency tax and he's training at the moment so that should go up when he's promoted - it was a job at the time! Better than nothing but only just! Then we just have the £700 per month tax credit IF and WHEN we finally get it. There's just us 2.0 -
Yep taken advice. Yep taken advice from here re house, mortgage and car, car only worth £350.00 so no problems there, house only 4K or less equity and half of that hopefully will be mine. Fine is for speeding, plus a multitude of lumped on charges as we moved house and the speeding fine went to our old address.betterlatethannever wrote: »Hi Pigsick.

Our oil bill is extreemly high, long story but boiler has yet to be commisioned by our !!!!!! of a plumber who has failed to do all the work as quoted but still wants all the money before he commisions it. We owe him £900 off the 5.5K he charged us and he has failed to do £1.6K worth of work!!! He also left us over Christmas with no heating AND I'm sure he's made sure the boiler is using lots of oil, yes they are this type of people as I had to put in an official police complaint about his other half harrassing me for money by blocking up my business line for 2 hours because she wouldn't get off the phone!!! That was when I had a business! Now he boiler keeps locking out so this is one person I'm glad won't be getting his money and I will take great pleasure in telling him so! Vent completed - you did ask!
