Tesco Clubcard Credit card

Hiya does anyone know if the clubcard credit card gives you clubcard points for balance transfers or is it just on purchases?

From their site -
Clubcard Points on all your spending

The more you use it, the more you get back! - If you pay with your Clubcard Credit Card at Tesco or Tesco.com, you'll get 5 points for every £4 spent!
And, every time you spend £4 on your Clubcard Credit Card, no matter where else, we'll give you 1 Clubcard Point.
So that'll be purchases only then as they're talking about 'spending' and 'paying'.

hiya, sorry to hijack the thread.

I've just applied...and yay..got accepted...tho I have way too many credit cards at the moment, luckily I have cleared off most of them so this should be good for one last balance transfer too.

my question.....

It says that "If you pay with your Clubcard Credit Card at Tesco or Tesco.com, you'll get 5 points for every £4 spent!" Sooooo...does that mean that I get 9 points if I spend £4? As in the usual 4 points from using a clubcard, plus the 5pts from the credit card......or does it mean I only earn 1 extra point so as in they dont count the regular clubcard?

!!!!!!...not as good a deal to use as I thought then. I'll likely still keep the card however and later close down my old BC card as that is at a ridic APR (tho I pay in full most of time - but regardless)

Sorry about that was going to put some more information but got side tracked.
DH opened one then made me an additional card holder (just to boost our points) only to realise that it wasn't that good a deal. Mights use it for paying car insurance as they're offering 500 points when you use their CC.

They merged our account and only got 1 set of extra vouchers, I wonder if it can be separated again.

It's the Clubcard Plus that you get double points but it's not a credit card more like a debit card. You load it then use it for shopping/petrol can only be used in Tesco.

I'll have to ask them at the CS desk in a few days when I next pop in. Even if its only 1 extra point per £4 spent on the credit card it's probably a little bit better than the likes of my old ipoints credit card which has gone down the pan with ipoints in recent months so no great loss.

When you ask the CS about the plus, presuming the CS know of the card as from reading some havent heard of it, do you get an app form or given a basic topup card straight away?
