I'am currently self employed but with the current climate I'am planning to wind up my main business but remain registered self employed
If I go back to college to study full time (15hrs week for 34 weeks)but remain self employed would I still be eligible for grants/course fees paid etc ?
need to check as if I cant go back and retrain (probably a choice beteween electrical engineering and plumbing) I'll have to look for a full time job.

I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

I think it depends on if you want to study a " course leading to a qualification below postgraduate level? This includes, for example, BA, BSc, HND, and Foundation Degrees" or a BND / A level / level 4 course.
Re-reading your post, you say you want to do a choice beteween electrical engineering and plumbing (maybe), if this is at a 'local' (ie non - uni college) then you might want to pay a trip to their student services to find out what you could be intitled for as they normally dont have course paying grants for over 18's (But please check with the college).
If you find a grant or fund let us know as im on the lookout for something simulaI remember when this was just a little website! :money:0
