ISA switch charges - Saver triumphs

The Mail on Sunday reports that a saver was repaid the £25 for switching his ISA to another provider as A&L settled out of court. The man involved revealed the action on Thursday at the AGM of the Financial Services Authority.

A&L has since scrapped the £25 charge :). The FSA's Callum McCarthy, while not commenteng specifically on the A&L case, said that the FSA always took an interest in fairness issues.

At least A&L is getting the message that it is wiser to change tack than to face the combined dogs of war that are Financial Mail and MSE :).

Apart from Portman BS, who are the other main culprits? Is it time to take them on?
