Just had an email saying it's been dispatched....has anyone else?

I received the same email on saturday. I haven't received it yet. A few negatives:

1) The money has not been taken from my account (I ordered different items after GAME confirmed the dispatch and they are showing up in my bank account).

2) The Parcelforce tracking number will not track either (it doesn't look like a Parcelforce tracking number).

Positives:

1) Quidco has been tracked today.

2) Game reward points are now in my account.



GAME have lost/failed to deliver so many items to me so I'm not keeping my hopes high.

My payment is definately being held according to online banking, but not showing yet on my statement so fingers crossed!

My woolworth one still says
This item has billed successfully and is ready for despatch within the next 24 - 48 hours (usually the same working day as the item is billed).

I was hoping to cancell one but it looks like they are now both being sent.

Amazon normally only take money when it's dispatched. I expect them to release it Thursday to the carriers so the money will probably go then.

It may have been "ring fenced" by the retailer, effectivly reserved so they know you have the money available, That way if your card is over the limit or invalid they know in advance. It will show as a reductionin the amount you cna spend but not appear on your card, if it's not followed by a charge it become unreserverved after a week or so.

No different to hotels who pre-authorise your card for your stay and a set amount more so they know you can pay for your stay the next day.
